Tips On Settling Down to Another Country

It feels like it’s only yesterday since I left the Philippines and make a new life here in Australia.  I still remember finding myself sitting in the airport, tears keeps on pouring while waiting to board my plane. I guess sepanx kicks in and knowing it will take a while to see my family again. When I first arrived here, there are so many things running through my mind, not to mention the overwhelming emotions consuming me. I am excited that finally I will be with my husband but at the same time apprehensive because everything is so new to me. Yes, I may have been here before but only for a short stay however it’s entirely different when you move and live abroad permanently – you’re adjusting on a larger scale, back to square one.

A Wonderful Blessing

"I believe that God sent you into my life to give me something to fight for, to show me there is love in this world, to give me hope and to bring me joy. All the proof in God I need is in you. You are the gift from the heavens."

After months of trying to conceive, finally the God Almighty gave me the only thing I ever wished for on my birthday – a miracle of life in my tummy. Imagine the happiness I felt when I found out that I’m pregnant a few weeks after my birthday. It was all over the place. I was over the moon, in 7th heaven and on cloud nine. I knew right at that moment, my life has changed; I will not just take care of myself but also the growing life in my womb as well.

A Reboot

Reality caught up with me for the past few months and it has been overwhelming.  From migrating and adjusting to a new life here in my new adoptive country, I admit this has taken a huge toll on my writing as I lost in my own world. As time goes by my entries become inconsistent because I felt that I lost my passion, my entries are without any direction and moreover I lack inspiration. I thought that I should stop and not force myself to write anymore because it will only be a mess. This made me think to pull the plug and bid goodbye to my old blog.

Emigrating to Australia: Things we included in our Partner Visa subclass 309/100

Last year I filed my partner visa application subclass 309/100 in order to migrate to my husband’s country. It took us a long time to prepare the necessary documents and more importantly saving the funds we needed for the application. After 9mos & 2wks of waiting period, I am happy to share that I finally received my visa grant notice. It was well worth the long wait.
