Banapple Pies and Cheesecakes

After watching a Filipino film, my friend and I decided to eat at Banapple, located at Market! Market! Banapple is a friendly bakery café that serves freshly-baked pies, cheesecakes and desserts, as well as a good food and coffee.

I know, they are famous for the cheesecakes and pies but we tried on their pasta and pancakes. The food here was affordable, plus the serving is good for sharing.

  • Fettucine Magnifico [Php170.00]

We tried on their Fettucine Magnifico, smothered in fried garlic, olive oil and parmesan cheese and I love it. The taste could be compared to ‘carbonara’ only the absence of cream sauce.

  • Baked Creamy Cheesy Penne (Php185.00)

A well-loved dish of luscious white cheese and meaty tomato sauce, with al dente penne pasta and sauteed hungarian sausage served with pesto bread. It’s very creamy but I am not a fan of too much cheese, I get bored with it.

  • Chocolate Peanut Butter Pancake (Php135.00)

Tried the mouthwatering buttermilk pancakes studded with bittersweet chocolate morsels; paired with creamy peanut butter. It’s yummy especially the peanut butter topping.
